Project Description: Earlier Disability Certificates were issued by Social Justice Department and Public Health Department in Manual mode. SADM software has brought a standardized scientific process and format of Disability certificates throughout the state. SADM is a web-based software application that carries out a scientific assessment of disabilities and issues Disability certificates in Maharashtra. Now disability percentage is done using scientific calculation as per GOI guidelines. All 35 District hospitals and a number of medical colleges have started issuing the certificate.45000 applicants have been registered and more than 36000 certificates have been issued. The project has achieved its aim to bring in transparency in the calculation of the Disability percentage by minimizing the discretion element of Doctors during the assessment.
