State’s Information Technology Day is celebrated on 20th August of every year. Maharashtra State eGovernance Awards will be distributed on this day to recognize & promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives in Maharashtra state. It will help to recognize and motivate the officials promoting eGovernance to deliver citizen services in transparent and faster manner at reasonable cost.
Award Categories eGovernance Excellence Awards Excellence in Process Reengineering Excellence in Citizen-Centric Service Delivery Best Website / Portal Innovative use of IT in governance IT for the environment
There would be three awards (Gold, Silver and Bronze) in each category.

Criteria for nominating project
Nominated project must have been operational for a period of, not less than ONE YEAR as on date 30th Apr 2014. But nominated project should not be more than THREE YEAR old as on dated 30th Apr 2014.
