Project Description: The Health Advisory Call Centre is managed by National Rural Health Mission, Public Health Dept. Gov. of Maharashtra, through Toll-Free number 104. This Call Centre provides updated health information, medical and speciality advice to public health personnel (such as ASHAs, ANMs, AWWs, Lab technicians, Pharmacists, Health Assistants, School Health Program and Medical Officers) across Maharashtra. This service enables public health personnel to better diagnose, treat and refer the patients. Inside the call centre, trained paramedics and specialist doctors respond to calls using a call-centre application which uses 700+ medically validated algorithms to address a health issue. The call centre handles about 1000 calls per day, till now approximately 5 lakh calls have been processed. The project has received e-India awards 2012 for “Most innovative PPP initiative”.
